1. Please refer to the current load and current density allowed by electrode when selecting the diameter of ultra-high power graphite electrode.

2. Ultra-high power graphite electrode shall be transported and stored away from rain, snow and water, and must be dry before use.

3. In the process of loading, unloading and transportation, ultra-high power graphite electrode shall be handled with care to prevent thread, impulse and damage. Special spreader shall be used for loading and unloading.

4. Before connection of new electrode and connector, electrode hole must be sucked clean with compressed air, then the connector and electrode are mounted as needed. When there is 20-30mm gap between the end faces of two electrodes, conduct secondary soot blowing and then tighten electrode and connector.

5. If the iron joint is used to lift electrode, the joint thread shall not deform to prevent damaging electrode thread.

6. Connect electrode with torque wrench as per specified torque value.

7. Electric furnace electrode shall not shake in operation process to prevent electrode joint from loosening, fracture or breaking off.

8. Electrode holder must clamp the electrode inside the electrode line.

9. To prevent electrode from fracture upon collapse of unmelted materials, the electrode shall be raised promptly as per melting condition, and unmelted scrap steel shall be pushed into the furnace hearth.
